Russian occupants keep terrorizing inhabitants of Ukrainian lands, temporary occupied by the Russian Federation. They have abducted them, accused of fictitious crimes, falsified «evidence» and launched pseudo-trials in Russian courts or court authorities, illegally created on temporary occupied territories of Ukraine. In November 2024, 13 new criminal cases against Ukrainian citizens have been submitted to Russian Southern District Military Court in Rostov-na-Donu. Up to one hundred cases have been considered by this court since 2022.

The Southern District Military Court completes consideration of the case about 61 years old Mykola Oliinyk. Russian occupants have accused him of «plotting terrorist act» against Volodymyr Matsak, head of Russian occupation administration of Vesele.

In accordance with Russian human rights protection non-profit «Memorial», Russians abducted Mykola Oliinyk on October 10, 2022 and detained him in detention center SIZO-1 in Rostov-na-Donu. His testimonies in court demonstrate that he was forced to plead guilty.

Oliinyk told at court that officers of the State Security Service of Ukraine tried to recruit him in 2022. They gave him a machine gun to kill Russian occupation official. He hid the gun in the forest as he was not going to use it.

Now Russian occupants plan to sentence him to 20 years of imprisonment.

Southern District Military Court has considered a case of three teenagers from Zaporizhzhia oblast. Occupants have accused them of being members of terrorist group «Black sabotage».

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has accused three teenagers that they have created «terrorist community» from February 2022 till March 2023 and that they have acted «for the benefit of the State Security Service of Ukraine», «adhered to pro-Ukrainian nationalist ideology» and did not like Russian occupation authorities. Russian occupants pretended that 16 years old boys put explosives near railways «Melitopol-Taschenak». However, no explosions happened.

Falsified case against Ukrainian teenagers also stated that they followed Russian member of occupation local council and Russian officer, and planned to explode their cars. However, no explosions happened.

Teenagers were forced to confess that the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit hotel «Prival okhotnika» in Melitopol.

In May 2023, Russian occupants abducted 35 years old Kostyantyn Zinovkin, brothers Oleksii and Grygorii Semykopenko and 20 years old Vladyslav Vidlatsky in Melitopol.

They accused Oleksii Semykopenko of spying and other people – of «participating in terrorist community and plotting terrorist act».

As Lusiena, wife of Kostyantyn Zinovkin, told journalists of Ukrainian media «Свої.City», her husband left their house and did not come back on May 12, 2023. Three unknown civilians broke into the house, searched it and interrogated mother and grand-mother. They told that Kostyantyn was detained for «violating a curfew» and that he would be soon released. His relatives did not know about his whereabouts for almost one month. Then, Russian occupants accused him of terrorism and an attempt to explode a person.

Russian occupants have accused Igor Garanin, abducted in April 2023, Sergii Yevtushenko (both – inhabitants of Melitopol) as well as Russian citizens Olena Roi and Sergii Garkusha of plotting explosions which killed Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs «Melitopolske» and wounded head of the department of occupation administration of Melitopol.

Russian occupants have accused Vitalii Kozachenko of «plotting terrorist act», «participating in terrorist community» and «state treason». It seems that he is 52 years old inhabitant of Vasylivka of Zaporizhzhia region. He had to accept Russian citizenship. A number of Russian Telegram channels posted announcement that he was wanted in 2023. Details of this case are unknown.

Southern District Military Court is not the only Russian court involved into illegal persecution of Ukrainian citizens.

In December 2024, «Zaporizhzhia Oblast Court», illegally created by Russian occupants on Ukrainian occupied territory, sentenced 44 years old Ukrainian citizen Olga Chernyavska to 13 years of imprisonment.

The verdict stated that Chernyavska has collected data about location of Russian troops in Tokmak and transferred it by messenger to her son serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from February till December 2022.

Russian occupants believed that Chernyavska’s data might have been used for hitting locations of Russian troops. Chernyavska was recognized by illegal «Zaporizhzhia court» as «Ukrainian spy».

The same «court» accused Melitopol resident Sergii Bogdanov of «sabotage». The verdict stated that a man transferred to an officer of the State Security Service of Ukraine intelligence data. As an outcome, Ukrainian troops hit object of Melitopol railways.

Occupation Polohy Interdistrict Court considers the case about 72 years old and 39 years old men of Polohy district. They are accused of participating in the organization «Right Sector».

Russian occupants state that pensioner from Polohy district has been a member of «Right Sector» since 2014. In April 2024, he involved into the organization his 39 years old friend by «promoting ideology of neo-Nazi among local residents and promising to bring them to the territory, controlled by Ukraine».

As Russian prosecutors believe, men collected data about location of Russian troops and their equipment and transferred it to members of organization. One member of «extremist organization» received monthly payment of 10 000 UAH in Ukrainian bank for his activity.

According to the data of Russian human rights protection organization «Memorial», 13 new criminal cases against Ukrainian citizen were submitted to Southern District Military Court in Rostov-na-Donu in November 2024. Over 110 «Ukrainian cases» have been submitted to this court since the beginning of 2024.
